Exploring California

This last weekend Travis and I decided to go exploring.  When we lived in Alaska we would drive around finding new places we had never seen before to explore.   So looking for some adventure we packed up the kids and plenty of food and drinks for our little trip and we were off.  We decided to just take the I-14 North till we ran into something interesting... we weren't expecting to have to drive so far!  We ended up driving all the way to Bishop, which took almost 3 hours!!  We actually did pass up Red Rock Canyon just barely north of us just because we had planned on driving more than the 20 minutes it took us to get there.  Once you pass that there is a whole lot of NOTHING until you get to Bishop, so now we know.  Anyway, here are some pictures of us enjoying ourselves in the super cute town of Bishop, CA.

Kamryn is a true animal lover, even more so than Carly.  She LOVED the ducks.  These ducks were very used to people feeding them and spotted us suckers right away when we showed up.  They got a good amount of our picnic food.  Kamryn couldn't get enough of them, she would still be chasing them around if we didn't drag her off to the playground so Carly could go down the slides.

And here is my little princess playing on the playground.  She had no problem at all driving so far to go to a playground just like the playground about a mile from our house :)  OK so it wasn't that similar.  And if we hadn't gone for our drive, she wouldn't have gotten to go shooting with Daddy, which I will post pictures of soon...

She really is such a beautiful little girl...

...and so is she, bald head and all :)
